• Supporting maintenance and production teams in relation to mechanical issues such as piping and pumping, using problem solving and trouble shooting techniques.
• Reliability investigations (RCA) and continuous improvement projects through RCM.
• Improving plant availability.
• Managing condition monitoring projects.
• Managing smaller projects and interacting with the projects team and consultancies for larger capital projects.
• Planning of major maintenance outages.
• B Eng and minimum 4 years experience to be able to lead graduates and trades.

A Mechanical Superintendent - Maintenance position offering a package of $185-170K and FIFO from Perth. Leading a team of engineers, planners, condition monitoring personnel and technicians across a busy mining operation. With a focus on fixed plant, candidates with experience from iron ore to refining will be considered. FIFO from Perth, safety and continuous improvement areas of focus for this role. Leading a reliability focus across the board, you will have a big impact on continuous improvement and shutdown management.

You are busy, so I'll be quick. Our client is an international resources company and keen to fill this urgent senior role as they need to hire several reliability engineer's, and also need this role settled before next year's graduates begin. For these roles your last 12 years would look something like this:

The first 4 years would have been spent at university (sorry to state the obvious).

The next 3 years working as a graduate learning about problem solving, daily maintenance activities, small project management and managing tradespeople.

Your next 3 years would have seen you engaging in reliability methodologies such as root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and shutdown management.

The last few years you have managed teams, graduates, have an understanding of budgets, managing large scale projects, developing safety procedures, and classy reporting skills. In terms of fixed plant experience, ideally you will have had exposure to several of the following in a mining/processing environment; conveyors, refineries, crushers, screens, piping, and stackers.

• Providing technical assistance to immediate fixed plant maintenance issues.
• Reliability centred maintenance through RCA and continuous improvement projects.
• Support of maintenance and processing teams.
• Maintaining area budgets.
• Supervision of site contractors.
